Hello from UIC College of Medicine!
We're excited to tell you about the gUIde program--a student group created with you in mind! We are an organization focused on fostering meaningful relationships between University of Illinois at Chicago undergraduates and medical students. We hope to facilitate a dialogue between undergraduates interested in the medical field and our current medical students. We plan to complement the Pre-Health Department by providing a peer perspective on the medical student lifestyle and the medical school application process.
Our vision is to create one-on-one mentor-mentee pairings, so that you each have a medical student that can be your go-to for all things medical school-related! Moreover, we also plan on having larger events (via Zoom) including talks, workshops, and panels.
We’re here for students on any step of their undergraduate journey! Whether you’ve already decided on medical school or are still trying to decide, we’re here to help!
