To everyone interested in exploring mental health in various cultural contexts, we bring to you our open mic night event. Active Minds at UIC partnered with The Blazing Margins and Mannmukti to create a welcoming space for people to come perform existing stories, songs, poetry or their own original works.
Active Minds at UIC and Mannmukti are both mental health organizations created to increase accessibility to mental health resources and increase awareness about mental health in various contexts. The Blazing Margins is a literary magazine focused on providing UIC's BIPOC communities a space for solidarity and educational discussions through seminars, events, and a literary magazine!
The event will occur in the SCE White Oak Room on Thursday October 21st 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM.
