Peer Health Exchange (PHE) is a student-led org that focuses on teaching health-related topics to high school CPS students. We teach one-hour health workshops on a weekly basis to high school freshmen in Chicago on topics such as mental health, substance abuse, sexual health, and health decision-making. This year, all of our teaching will be conducted virtually (either synchronously or asynchronously) and will begin in the spring semester.
These are trying times for all of us, but the pandemic has disproportionately hurt communities of color. We at PHE are hoping to empower minority youth by connecting them with community health resources and providing them with the skills and information to take charge of their health.
We are looking to recruit new members to be a part of our organization, and we thought that YOU would be especially interested! If you would like to join our organization, please apply at the application link below. It is a Google Form and should take about 20-30 minutes to complete.
The application is due Friday, November 13th at 11:59pm.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact peerhealthexchangeuic@gmail.com
