Applications for the Frederick Douglass Global Fellowship close February 14, 2019!
Applications are open for the 2018-2019 cohort of the Frederick Douglass Global Fellowship. Selected Fellows will travel to London, England in summer 2019 for a credit-earning study abroad program. Scholarship funds will cover 100 percent of all program fees and travel costs for a cohort of 10 freshmen and sophomores from Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs).
Applications are due February 14, 2019, and awards will be announced in late March at CIEE's Annual Forum for Study Abroad Conference.
The Frederick Douglas Global Fellowship (FDGF) program is a product of a partnership between CIEE and the Penn Center for Minority Serving Institutions (CMSI) established to break down the barriers of cost, curriculum, and culture to make study abroad accessible to students from MSIs. Selected Frederick Douglass Global Fellows are meritorious individuals who demonstrate high academic achievement, possess exemplary communication skills, display the hallmarks of self-determination, exhibit characteristics of bold leadership, and have a history of service to others.
