To Those Concerned With Subleasing,
The house at 504 Busey Ave has 3 female roommates currently living there over the summer. The room that is being subleased is on the first floor, with a separate bathroom than the other three. There is more than enough storage room for anything you might need, and the house also has a driveway. The monthly rent for the room is $487.5, not including utilities like water or internet. The house has a washer and dryer, and pets are allowed at this location.
If you are interested in potentially subleasing, this is the process that is currently happening. The room will be subleased by a first-come first-serve basis, meaning that the first potential roommate to complete the steps I’m about to list below will be the on to get the spot. The list below describes the necessary steps that we need to follow to ensure everyone is happy with the sublease.
1.) Make sure YOU want to live at the house. Feel free to contact me at 630-903-3437 or gabe@kahsen.com by call or text to arrange a time that you can tour the house and potentially meet the roommates. The cost of living will be three installments of $487.50 for three months of staying there IF you move in at the beginning of May, there is also a security deposit of the cost of one months rent due at the sublease signing. We can negotiate splitting the cost if you move in later than the first.
2.) Make sure my roommates approve of you. In subleasing the 3 other roommates all need to sign a consent form saying that they approve of you living with them (for legal reasons). Don’t be too intimidated by this, this just means you’ll need to send me a quick bio of yourself that I can forward to them. Once they give me a general thumbs up, we can move onto the last stage.
3.) The last stage is going in to sign the agreement. This is considered a stage because I want to sign this room off ASAP. So despite who might get through the first two steps the most quickly, the room will ultimately go to the person who signs first.
Again, this process is happening right now, and I will absolutely let everyone know when the sublease has already been signed, but its not too late! This is a great house for parties or get-togethers with a lot of room. It is located within 5 minutes of the quad (walking distance) and 2 minutes from the Illinois-Lincoln bus stop (Illini). The company to which you will be signing the sublease is Weiner. If you would like to continue pursuing this sublease option contact me ASAP to set up an appointment or whatever else you need.
Thank you for your interest, hope to see you soon!
