Hi!
I'm looking for housemates to share a house I've rented in Urbana for the lease period Aug 2014-15.
There are two rooms available, for $375 and $400.
Here are pictures and further details, including average utilities costs and floor plans: https://sites.google.com/site/705scedar/home
If you'd like to come see the place, I'll be able to show it to you next week.
The house is in excellent condition. There's one room that's the largest ($400) and has large windows and a closet. The other room is slightly smaller ($375) but also has a large closet.
Plenty of living space, a nice dining room overlooking a charming next-door garden, and a kitchen with in-house washer and dryer, and a dishwasher, microwave and fridge come with the house. There's a half bathroom on the second floor, and a full bathroom with tub in the first floor. Parking is available in a driveway (and included with the rent) for two vehicles, and there's off-street parking for guests as well. If you'd like an air conditioner in the summer, the landlord will install it (included with the rent). The heating has worked very well during the winter I have lived in this house. The basement underground provides extra storage space.
There's also a yard, with a bike-locking rack, and a compost pit and a shed. A small patio overlooks the yard.
The location is very convenient: It's about four blocks away from the bus line to campus, and less than a mile's walk/bike ride. It's also about half a mile from the farmer's market, Strawberry Fields, and downtown Urbana.
The landlord is a university professor who prefers tenants who will look after the house well.
Let me know if you have any questions! I look forward to hearing from you and talking to see if we can be housemates.
