Web Services has released a couple of enhancements to the File Manager: C-Name support, shorter URLs, and web index pages.
1) We can now point a C-name to your File Manager project in order to have a cleaner and more descriptive URL for marketing purposes.
Example: Both of the below URLs point to the same content. The "web.webservices.illinois.edu" is a C-name that points to the project.
http://illinois.edu/2/index.html
http://web.webservices.illinois.edu/
2) Shorter URLs - Web Services has shortened the URLs used to view web content within the File Manager.
Old URL (These still work):
http://illinois.edu/cms/file/2/index.html
New URL:
http://illinois.edu/2/index.html
3) Index.html web page support - You can now add an index.html page:
http://illinois.edu/2/index.html
