Based on your feedback, we've added a new feature which will allow external users to access your forms and surveys built with WebTools. This new feature will give external users access to your forms by granting them one-time authentication privileges. External users are anyone with an email address other than: @illinois.edu, @uic.edu, or @uis.edu.
1: In order to give external users access you first need to set up a new group in the Group Manager. You'll name and save the group, and add your list of users that can access the Form or Survey by pasting their email addresses into the "Add Users" tab.
2: On the "Security" tab for your Form or Survey choose 'Secured' and select your new group by name. Whenever a group contains external users the login screen will display two choices: 1) login with your netid or 2) login through email.
3: The netid option works the same as always, however the email option is designed for external users, and sends an email to that user to access the Form or Survey. The URL sent to the user can only be used once. If multiple submissions are allowed per user they will have to follow the same process again.
