NRES 501 – State and Local Sustainability Course begins March 18!
There is still time to enroll in this course. For students interested in a career in a state or local governmental agency, this class is a tremendous opportunity.
NRES 501 will introduce students to the public policymaking process with emphasis on how such policies are made at the state and local levels. It also explores the implementation of sustainability policies at the state and local level by giving the student direct exposure to practitioners at these levels of government. This course is an amazing networking opportunity, and it culminates in a week long experience working with the Illinois EPA on issues concerning the redevelopment of the former Chanute Air Force Base in Rantoul, IL (May 19-23).
Class will meet online Tuesday evenings from 5:00 – 6:30 pm and require on-site attendance in Rantoul on March 19 – 23rd. For more information or to register, please contact Piper Hodson (phodson@illinois.edu).
