Undergraduate Research Week is this week (April 13-18). According to Paul Diehl, Director of the Office of Undergraduate Research, the week-long event is “a celebration of student excellence in research across campus… The presentations, posters, and performances… address some of society’s most pressing issues, including education, health care, violent conflict, and natural disasters.” The signature event is the seventh annual Undergraduate Research Symposium on Thursday at the Illini Union. More than 600 students will make more than 400 oral and poster presentations. See the URL for a full program. http://www.provost.illinois.edu/ugresearch/downloads/URS_Program2014.pdf
