The NRES Photo Contest is open to all online M.S. students!
Submit photos of your incredible NRES experience, most memorable capstone assignment, or most unique field experience. The department of NRES is inviting all online M. S. students to enter their favorite photos by September 1st. You could win a great prize!
Entry Guidelines?
· Photos must be high resolution (min. 300 dpi)
· Photos will be accepted in JPEG, GIF, or PDF format and be no larger than 3 MB
· Students may submit up to three (3) photographs. Each entry should be submitted separately.
· For photos taken as part of an internship or while on professional assignment, written approval from the facility manager, employer, and/or supervisor is required.
· Photos that include persons other than the NRES student must include their written permission, or permission of their legal guardian (for minors), for use of the photo for NRES purposes.
· Each photo entry must include:
o Photographer’s name
o UIN
o Email address
o Photo Title and Caption including date taken, location, and brief description of the
photo (max 200 words). If the photo was altered in any way, please explain.
How to Submit?
· Photo files and accompanying information (see above) should be emailed to Renée Gracon
· All submissions should include “Photo Contest Entry” in the subject of the email.
· Photos must be received by September 1, 2014
Judging?
Photos will be judged on creativity, composition, and originality. Submissions will be reviewed by a panel of NRES Faculty & Staff members. All decisions will be final. Winning entries will be announced at the 2014 Online On-Campus Day event on September 13, 2014.
Legal Information?
Students submitting photos to this contest grant the University of Illinois (UIUC) and the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences (NRES) permission to use these photos for promotional purposes.
