VEEP Summer Institutes for Educators – Vermont
Join VEEP (Vermont Energy Education Program) this summer for a four-day Summer Institute. The training will use a constructivist, NGSS-based approach of hands-on, minds-on learning activities, including reflective discussions, readings and journaling to build concepts about science content and best teaching practices.

Shoreline Science Workshops for Teachers – Oregon
Learn about coastal natural history at this three-day Coast Watch workshop. The workshops will be held in Arch Cape, July 18 – 20; Depoe Bay, Aug 1 – 2; and Port Orford, Aug. 14 – 16. Three full days of instruction will cover the major coast ecosystems; tidepools, sandy beaches, estuaries, forests, and the nearshore ocean. Each session will include field trips, indoor presentations and laboratory experiences (with some variation, depending upon the weather).
