1) Entomological Society of America (ESA) / Monsanto - Graduate Research Grant

The grant provides research funds to graduate students for entomological research projects.
Eligibility: Applicant must be:
A candidate for a master's or doctoral degree at an accredited university.An ESA member.
Award amount: $5,425 for salaries, equipment, supplies, or travel to initiate, accelerate, augment, or expand a research project.

2) Waterbird Society - Research Grants
Deadline(s): 7/15/2016
Small grants are for research in the science and conservation of waterbirds.
The Kushlan Research Award in Ciconiiform Biology and Conservation is for scientific advances in the biology, ecology, or conservation biology of wading birds (i.e. herons, storks, ibises, and their taxonomic allies). The grants committee currently solicits proposals that focus on species relationships within the group and the status, range, and population sizes of little-known species of Ciconiiformes. Award amount: $1,000-$7,000.
The Nesbit Research Grant is for research on and conservation of terns and gulls. Award amount: Approx. $1,000.
General eligibility: Applicants may be:
Professionals, amateurs, or students, of any age.Of any nationality, for research in any location globally.Financial and educational status of the applicants are not considerations.
