Is your productivity on the capstone paper suffering from obstacles like writer’s block, procrastination, or lack of motivation? Are you having difficulty meeting deadlines or just getting started? Not sure how to write a scientific paper? Join our summer writers’ group for that extra boost to become more proficient or productive. Get useful tips for improving your scholarly writing, set weekly writing goals, and receive constructive criticism from your peers. The group will meet Monday evenings beginning June 5th at 6:30 pm (Central).
Each week, log into the Virtual Office to receive great tips on a variety of writing topics such as: overcoming inertia, standards for scientific writing, formatting the paper, etc. Set a weekly goal to write at least “x” pages. Submit your weekly writing attempts by Sunday evening for peer review and discussion during Monday evening’s session. (Students will be paired each week with a student partner for sharing and reviewing their work.)
