The Graduate College recently changed its policy on when you can petition your non-degree coursework. If you still need to do that, you can do it now. Read more for details.
The Graduate College recently changed its policy on when you can petition your non-degree coursework. You can actually do that as soon as you receive your “Notice of Admission” from the University (as opposed to the NRES letter recommending you for admission). Here is the policy:
“Students who have earned up to 12 hours of graduate credit while enrolled as a non-degree student at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign may petition those hours and up to 12 hours of graduate credit taken at another institution. These petitions may be submitted after the student receives their notice of admission.” (http://www.grad.illinois.edu/gradhandbook/chapterIII/section03)
You can find the petition instructions at http://www.grad.illinois.edu/PetitionInstructions (it’s request #10).
