KAM has begun a significant fundraising initiative calling for you to help us Envision, Partner, and Transform Krannert Art Museum. Allow me to invite you to Envision the future of KAM as we renovate our galleries and public spaces into an even more engaging environment in which to encounter the visual arts. I invite you to Partner with us to enhance the museum's educational programming, physical environment, and permanent collection. We are counting on your support to enable us to Transform the museum for all visitors in significant, meaningful ways.
Envision the Future
Two local couples have demonstrated that they believe in our vision in a big way. Long time supporters of the Arts at Illinois, Dick and Rosann Noel and Peter and Joan Hood, have made major gifts to support our efforts and we thank them for providing needed leadership from the outset of this initiative.
I invite you to come to KAM soon and enjoy works of art from KAM's permanent collection in the named Rosann Gelvin Noel Gallery. We are excited that significant renovation to this main floor gallery will begin in the spring of 2016.
In addition, we are proud to announce the unveiling of the Joan and Peter Hood Classroom on the lower level of the museum as well. This fall, the Hood Classroom will welcome hundreds of Champaign and Urbana elementary school students and their teachers who are participating in our groundbreaking education program, Krannert Art Museum—Week at the Museum (KAM—WAM).
Partner with Us
We are most appreciative of the support the museum has already received from members of the Champaign-Urbana community, the University of Illinois, our alumni and friends, and from the University of Illinois for providing a dollar for dollar match of contributions of $5000 and above, doubling the impact of private gifts for renovation. How can YOU help? Details are outlined here (or download the brochure by clicking the "additional resources" link at the bottom of the page).
