Social Media and Communications Intern: The Illinois Office of Undergraduate Research (OUR) is seeking a motivated, experienced, and creative undergraduate social media and communications intern. This intern will manage OUR's presence on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. The ideal candidate will work to develop an innovative and robust social media strategy that bolsters the online presence and awareness of OUR. The Social Media and Communications Intern will work, on average, 10 hours per week. This position will start in Spring 2020 and will be extended into Fall 2020 and Spring 2021 based on performance and availability of funding. This is a paid internship at $12/hour. Federal Work Study designation is preferred.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Research, develop, and post creative and compelling content for OUR’s social media platforms on a regular basis
- Create and maintain a calendar for social media posts
- Create and maintain a well-organized catalog of usable social media content
- Be proactive in driving the growth of OUR’s social media presence
- Work collaboratively with photography and graphic design interns to ensure a consistent visual identity
- Create end-of-semester reports on social media campaign performance
- Assist with other projects, as needed

Graphic Design Intern: The Illinois Office of Undergraduate Research is seeking a motivated, experienced, and creative undergraduate graphic design intern to assist with creating innovative and visually impactful graphics for the office (workstation and required software will be provided). This is a paid internship at $12/hour. The graphic design intern will work, on average, 10 hours per week. This position will start in Spring 2020 and will be extended into Fall 2020 and Spring 2021 based on performance and availability of funding. This is a paid internship at $12/hour. Federal Work Study designation is preferred.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist with layout, design, and production of flyers, digital/web graphics, office brochures, and other print/digital resources, consistent with current office branding.
- Assist with converting digital assets to web-ready formats.
- Assist with other projects as needed.
