CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Kirby Avenue will close at 11 a.m. Friday and remain closed until about an hour after the Friday night Fighting Illini football game at Memorial Stadium.
Kickoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. Parking lots open at their normal time at 7 a.m.
Aside from the closure of Kirby Avenue, other football traffic patterns near the stadium will begin at approximately 4 p.m.
Police are requesting that motorists who are not attending the football game use an alternate route if possible to avoid Memorial Stadium during their commute on Friday after 4 p.m.
