Dean Fritz Drasgow has been honored with the 2016 Distinguished Career Award from the Academy of Management (AOM), sponsored by Sage Publications and the AOM’s Research Methods Division. This award is given to scholars with a clear record of excellence in the advancement of research methods; a significant impact of research upon the science, teaching, and use of research methods; and stature relative to other scholars in the field of research methods.
Scholars eligible for this award have advanced the process of doing organizational research, improving the validity of conclusions drawn and inferences made from research or increasing the types of research questions that can be tested. This scholarly work may address improvements in or new methods for research design, data collection, and data analysis, and may address other aspects of research methodology (e.g., philosophy of science issues; delineation of concepts/constructs).
