SHORT DESCRIPTION SUMMARIZING POSITION FUNCTIONS
The School of Labor and Employment Relations invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Employment/Industrial Relations at either the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor (with tenure) or Full Professor (with tenure) level. We are generally interested in candidates who have teaching and research interests in industrial relations, employment relations, employment policy, or other areas where organizations, unions, and workplace institutions are a major research interest. This is a full-time tenure-track position that combines research with teaching in the School’s master’s and PhD programs in human resources and employment relations. The School is a multi-disciplinary academic unit that concentrates on research and teaching in the HR-ER fields. For more information, please see our website at http://www.ler.illinois.edu/.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Conduct original, high quality scholarly research for publication in leading academic journals
• Teach in the School’s master’s and PhD programs
• Participate on School-wide service committees
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Industrial Relations, Management, Human Resource Management, or a related social science field or professional area of study (e.g., JD); however, ABDs who demonstrate strong potential for conducting exemplary research and teaching and anticipate Ph.D. completion no later than August 2019 will be considered.

SALARY: Salary will be commensurate with experience and rank
APPOINTMENT STATUS: Regular, 100% time, tenure-track faculty appointment (assistant, associate, or full professor)
