The School of Labor and Employment Relations is proud of our graduates, and anxious to honor them this spring. The immediate activites will be virtual, in keeping with statewide mandate. These virtual celebrations are not meant to replace the in-person ceremony. Graduates that were planning to walk in the May ceremony will be invited to join us for the December ceremony. Details on those activities are pending resolution of the statewide “phasing” of in-person activities.
The campus celebration will premiere on Saturday, May 16 at noon via go.illinois.edu/celebration. The link will become active a couple hours before the event, and no registration is required. You can find information surrounding the virtual commencement activities on May 16 at https://www.facebook.com/events/3190245044533866/
We have a video greeting and thoughts from Dean Drasgow and several of our alumni that is live on the LER home page and social media outlets at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DXlY7BdXdPs.
In the run-up to May 16, we are honoring our graduates on social media with an LER Spirit Week featuring themed days, a faculty "congratulations" posting, a Zoom lunch for students, and many videos of support from our successful alumni. All families and alumni are welcome to join us in posting messages of celebration and support for the newest members of our alumni network.
