AbbVie joined the School's scholarship program three years ago, becoming the first pharma organization in the program since the early 2000's. The industry has been very popular with students, and the scholarship has given them great early branding with each incoming class.
AbbVie hired three remote interns this summer. Madeline Demski holds a bachelor's degree from UIUC and has a prior internship wtih Tenneco, Inc. Tifani Mbombo holds a bachelor's degree from UIUC and worked for Cerner Corporatio and in restaurant management prior to returning to LER for her graduation degree. Emily Orden is also a UIUC undergrad and had an HR internship with EnterpriseWorks.
" As an AbbVie intern, you’ll participate in a paid, ten to twelve-week summer program, working on meaningful assignments that have a true impact on our business and patients. Internship examples include Talent & Development, Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Employee Relations, Lean Six Sigma/Project Management, or Business Human Resources. Assignments are carefully selected based on business need while taking personal preference into account, incorporate technical knowledge, analytical strength, and creative problem solving."
