Student Spotlight: Jodi Nemethy, MHRIR 2018
Jodi Nemethy will receive her master’s degree from LER in December 2018. She came to LER from Indiana University, following the footsteps of her brother, Ryan Nemethy, MHRIR 16.
In November, she had the unique opportunity to attend the National Academy of Human Resources annual conference & gala in New York City. Seventeen master's candidates and two SHRM scholarship recipients were selected from top HR schools across the country, and Jodi was the representative of LER.
Participants attended a student-only session led by renowned professors from various HR research institutions and discussed topics like the Model of a World Class CHRO 1.0, and defined their teachable point of view as future leaders. They also joined the current NAHR board and four inductees for break-out group sessions that covered Organization and Culture, the #metoo Movement, AI and Automation, and Independent Contractors vs. Employee Status.
The evening comprised a stunning gala with pre and post dinner receptions. During dinner, 4 fellows were inducted to the NAHR, also known as “The HR Hall of Fame."
"I had the pleasure of networking with not only top student talent, but global and chief human resource officers from many of the organizations that recruit at LER and beyond," says Jodi. "This conference was a once in a lifetime opportunity, and I am so grateful for LER and the academy for helping me learn and grow. I am excited to share the knowledge and materials I have gained in class and with my colleagues in the future."
Jodi will be joining PepsiCo in Seattle, Washington, upon graduation.
