This has been an action packed month for those of us in 504 E. Armory. Our students and faculty have been taking part in many of our LER Traditions. Here's just a few from the past month...
LIRA Annual Barn Dance
On Thursday, October 26th, the Labor and Industrial Relations Association (LIRA) held their annual Barn Dance at Miner Farm outside Champaign. Barn Dance is meant to be a fun, laid back event for the LER students to socialize, dance to country music, bonfires, make s’mores and go on hayrides! More importantly, many students are celebrating the end of recruitment season.
Happy Halloween from LER!
Professor Michael LeRoy carries on his tradition of celebrating Halloween with his students in LER 522: Government Relations. While he was dressed as witch to many, some students identified him as a wizard.
LER International Potluck Dinner
Over 80 students attended the second-annual LER International Potluck on November 15th. Attendees were treated to more than 40 dishes that represented “home” to the students that prepared them. LER’s Multicultural Student Association supported the event by organizing culture-focused activities and voting for the best dish.
Student Society for Human Resource Management (SSHRM) Annual Talent Show
The lower level of the LER Building was a rocking place, thanks to SSHRM and the students who showcased their talents. Students were treated to multiple live music performances, art and food eating competitions.
