Building Hours
- Building hours will be 8am-8pm M-F and 7am-7pm on Saturday with the loading dock door open at 7am for those who need to enter early.
- We will move to two open entrances: loading dock and orange parking (accessible entrance).
- Faculty/staff/visitors are encouraged to enter through the loading dock, but can also access the building through orange parking.
- Orange parking will be the point of entry for all students. Students should not enter through the loading dock.
**As always, departments can/should work with building ops on any activities that must be scheduled outside of posted building hours.
Entry Checkpoints
All students, faculty, and staff must check in with the person staffing the entrance table and show proof that their building entrance status is “access granted”. This can be done with the Safer in Illinois app (Click here for information about how to download the app) or by showing a copy of your boarding pass, which can accessed at www.go.illinois.edu/boardingpass.
You can present a print out of a boarding pass or show it on your phone. If you have a visitor coming for official university business that does not have the Safer in Illinois app or a boarding pass, you will need to meet them at the loading dock and escort them past the entry table. All those who enter the building will be required (as is current practice) to be wearing a face covering. We will have extra face coverings at the tables for people who do not have one.
Lobby
Intermezzo will be open for business next week for to-go orders only. We are unable to allow eating or drinking in the lobby for at least the next several weeks due to the emergency ordinances issued by the cities of Urbana and Champaign. There are tables set at Intermezzo that faculty, staff, and students are welcome to use for other purposes, and we have setup a study area by the Great Hall that is available for student use with preference given to students in the performing arts units.
Personal Responsibility Pledge
Review the Krannert Center Personal Responsibility Pledge, which was developed by the KCPA reopening committee and familiarize yourself with the guidelines that apply while in the building. We will all do our very best to protect our own health and the health of others on this campus.
On behalf of the entire Krannert Center staff, welcome back! We are looking forward to being a part of another amazing academic year!
