Unified Voices will be a new A Cappella group/music group on campus! This group is open to everyone and is aimed to be more relaxed and welcoming to everyone as long as dedication is shown. The group will primarily focus on performing modern music, typically pop, but we are open to other music genres depending on group interests! It will involve a lot of opportunities in the forms of composing, arranging, choreographing, and singing etc. Fill out form if intrested: https://forms.gle/CiFjnN36sAutRvDE9
Also we are looking for an Advisor from the music school! The advisor's main job would be to help facilitate rehearsals, assist students individually, and if interested arrange or compose music to perform. We are open to any professors or graduate students that want to apply for the position. We are mainly looking for someone who would be passionate and invested in the group as we are just starting. This opportunity is a great chance to gain experience with teaching and arranging a cappella music. You'll gain connections with students while playing a large role creating a group that students will enjoy for years to come.
The minimum commitment required is to attend rehearsals bi-weekly and offer advice on how to improve our vocal techniques as a group and assist in breakout groups when we are working on sections. If interested, send an email to dianacm2@illinois.edu, the president of Unified Voices. She will be able to provide more information if needed and set up a time to interview for the position.
