The Chancellor’s office has determined that the COVID testing center currently located on the Center’s southeast terrace must be moved inside in advance of colder weather. To that end, testing will be setup in the lobby near the Festival Foyer beginning October 12. The hours will be 8am-6pm Monday through Friday. People visiting the testing center from outside of the building will be able to enter through the southeast terrace doors. Faculty/staff/students who have already entered the building through an entry table checkpoint can also access the testing center by utilizing the stairwell near blue/green parking.
The testing area will be separated from the lobby by pipe and drape and will be fogged with disinfectant each night. All those who complete a COVID saliva test at Krannert Center will be required to exit the building through the doors by the men’s restroom on level 5. Faculty/staff/students who have “access granted” status can reenter by visiting an entry table (blue parking, orange parking, loading dock, lobby entrance near Stage 5) and showing their status.
We have put some measures in place to ensure those entering the building solely for testing purposes who may not have “access granted” status are not able to travel freely throughout the Center. While the testing center is located inside the Center, the Krannert Room, advancement office, and the level 5 men’s restroom itself will be closed. In addition, the internal stairwell near the men’s restroom will be for emergency use only, and the south elevator will not be usable to access level 5.
As always, please feel free to reach out to me directly with any questions, concerns, or suggestions.
Thanks!
Cindi
