Position Summary:
The Grindstone Lake Association (GLA) is a non-profit organization committed to supporting the conservation and sustainable use of Grindstone Lake. GLA is seeking two qualified individuals to conduct aquatic invasive species monitoring and education at the boat launch located on the lake.
Primary responsibilities involve educating recreational boaters, anglers, and the general public about aquatic invasive species threats to the lake and the proper cleaning methods for their recreational equipment. While educating the public, the boat monitors will also collect survey data on boater behaviors as well as identify and help remove invasive species from watercraft.
Training: The WI Dept of Natural Resources will be providing training sessions. Supervision will be provided by leaders from the Grindstone Lake Association.
