Position Summary:
The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) is seeking to fill an Asian Carp Team Fisheries Tech position listed under the WILDLIFE TECHNICIAN 2 Class based in Benton County, TN. The selected candidate will work with a team to manage Asian Carp in West Tennessee.
Major Duties:
• Conduct fisheries surveys in regional waterbodies according to established protocols.
• Collect and process biological samples.
• Accurately record data in the field and enter data into database software.
• Maintain and repair fisheries sampling gear and equipment.
• Provide technical assistance to the public through telephone, written communication, presentations, and social media.
