Position Summary:
Seeking two (2) field technicians to assist with fish and mussel field sampling for the summer and fall of 2021. Duties include: collecting fish by dip-netting, seining, and trawling, as well as back-pack, barge and boat electrofishing; collecting mussels by hand sampling, snorkeling, and excavation of quadrats; lab and museum work, including data entry, processing specimens for curation, museum maintenance; equipment cleaning and maintenance; and other duties as needed. Travel and long hours in the field should be expected. COVID 19 Safety protocols outlined by the University and the Prairie Research Institute must be strictly maintained. This position is based in Champaign, IL.
