Position Summary:
Career Service Paraprofessionals (CSPs) are essential to the work of The Career Center. The CSPs are a group of 20-25 highly talented undergraduate students who facilitate career-related workshops, resume and cover letter reviews, and employer informational sessions. Our CSPs go through a comprehensive training process, which includes several hours of observations, designed for students to hone their abilities to effectively give presentations, facilitate discussions, and give constructive feedback.
Throughout the academic year, our paraprofessionals serve as campus leaders in career development while gaining valualbe experience that further develops career compentencies.
Students develop their:
- Communication skills (oral, written, and listening)
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Customer service skills
- Career readiness
- Leadership skills
- Awareness of diversity
