The Heartland RestorationTechnician will participate in implementing a varietyof habitat restoration projects across aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems within the heart of Northeast Michigan.Working as part of the overarching Stewardship Team, this dynamic position will include controlling invasive plantspecies, completing large scale vegetation inventories, and restoring rare and sensitive habitat types to benefitnative plant and wildlife species. This position may also include planting native species, collecting stream/riverdata, trail maintenance and participating in providing outreach/education to the general public. HeartlandRestoration Technicians will be completing tasks as a part of the Huron Heartland Invasive Species Network (HHISN), a collaboration of local, state, and federal partners working together to address invasive species concernsacross six forested counties. We are looking for motivated individuals that will be strong team members, helpproblem solve, be able to work efficiently and confidently without direct supervision and maintain a high level ofprofessionalism both in the field and office settings.
