ACE’s Climate Migration Conference is the first youth-led climate migration conference in the world, and will take place April 26-28. Each day focuses on a different geographic region: Central and Latin America and the Caribbean (April 26), Sub-Saharan Africa (April 27), and the Middle East and North Africa (April 28). The conference will run 9am ET-11am ET each day.
The goal of the conference is to bring together youth from around the world, along with academics and activists, to raise awareness and engagement around the important issue of climate migration. While climate migration is a relatively under-discussed aspect of climate adaptation, it is predicted that tens of millions of people around the world will be displaced internally and across national borders in the coming decades. Each day of the conference will feature ACE Student Fellows presenting their research on an aspect of climate migration, as well as a panel discussion and keynote address.
