Want to learn how to grow food using sustainable growing methods? Join us for one of our three, 12-week stipend internship programs during the growing season. By working between 10-20 hours per week, you will receive hands-on instruction by our Farm Manager and Assistant Farm Manager on the key areas of successfully managing a sustainable, urban farm.
These areas include:
- Crop planning and implementation
- Seed propagation
- Bed preparation techniques
- Watering/Irrigation approaches
- Weed management techniques
- Integrated Pest Management approaches
- Harvesting and post-harvest handling
- Season extension
- Farmers market operation
- Volunteer management
