The Community Service Officer (CSO) position is a non-sworn, summer role that will work closely with conservation wardens on gaining voluntary compliance from the public (security and education), engaging in community education/outreach, and on other natural resource regulation-related tasks. They will work at state parks and forests, public boat launches, community events, etc. This a great paid opportunity for those looking to gain valuable summer work experience, and college internship credit may also be earned. CSO positions are available in a variety of locations throughout Wisconsin, and applicants will be able to indicate which work location(s) they prefer when they apply. CSOs will be required to live in Wisconsin during their summer employment and housing will not be provided. Those hired will have a May 19th, 2025 start date.
