  • Michael Curry Summer Internship Program (with various agencies including the IEPA), State of Illinois (various locations in IL; due Feb. 28)

    • Eligible applicants must be Illinois residents who have not previously participated in the Curry Internship Program.
    • Curry interns will receive a stipend of $2,700 per month. 
      • The Curry Interns are paid as a normal State of Illinois employee via normal payroll. If they work a full pay period, they will be paid as any other State employee. If they work less than full-time (37.5 hours a week), they should be paid the hourly equivalent of their monthly base salary ($2,700.00), for the pay period(s).

    Documents Required for Your Application to be Considered:

    The application process for the 2025 Michael Curry Summer Internship Program is done completely online. The following documents must be submitted in order for your application to be considered:

    • Completed application—click link below for application form
    • Official or unofficial college transcript
    • Personal statement (500 words or fewer)
    • Policy essay (750 words or fewer)

    A resume or CV may be provided as a supplement in addition to the above documents.
