Two technicians are needed for a study on bat roosting ecology in south-central Indiana. Research involves mist-netting to capture and tag bats, homing telemetry to locate diurnal roosts, using thermal telemetry devices, characterizing roosting habitat (vegetation plots), locating historic bat roosts, and performing roost exit counts. Additional responsibilities include data processing and entry. Research will be conducted within the study areas of the Hardwood Ecosystem Experiment (http://www.heeforeststudy.org/) near Bloomington, Indiana.
Work begins 18 May 2023 and is expected to end 14 August 2023 (start/end dates negotiable for excellent candidates).
