We are looking for a fulltime Wetland/Soil Scientist to join our Natural Resources team in our Woodridge, IL offices. Qualified candidates must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills as the positions include interaction with internal team members, external clients, and regulatory agency staff. In addition, they must be able to work both independently and, in a team-based environment and possess the ability to manage several major activities at once. Candidates must have education courses in soil science, botanical science, or related physical sciences.
General responsibilities include:
• Wetland delineation field work and data collection.
• Wetland delineation report preparation.
• Assist with wetland mitigation design.
• Prepare exhibits using G.I.S.
• Team and client communication.
• Coordination with regulatory agencies.
The Qualifications are:
• B.A. or B.S. in soil science or similar physical science, botany, ecology or environmental science.
• 0-5 years of experience.
• Formal wetland delineation training and certification is beneficial.
• G.I.S. experience is beneficial.
• Maintain a valid driver’s license.
