Position Summary:
WisCorps crews complete conservation and environmental service projects
throughout Wisconsin, and the Upper Midwest. Projects may include trail restoration, habitat restoration, invasive species management, and carpentry projects. Each WisCorps crew consists of two crew leaders and four crew members.
As a WisCorps Crew Leader, you and your co-leader will be responsible for supervising and motivating crew members while you work together to complete conservation projects. You will be responsible for your personal and crew safety on and off the project site. When you are not working on the project, you and your co-leader are responsible for creating a crew community focused on environmental responsibility and inclusion. As a crew leader you will have the opportunity to serve our communities, natural resources, and positively impact the lives of others.
Major Duties:
- Supervise, motivate, and mentor a crew of up to 4 individuals for the session
- Oversee safety and well-being of the crew on and off the worksite

Create a functional and positive crew community

Manage day to day crew tasks not limited to meal planning, cooking,
and transportation of crew and crew equipment

Work closely with project sponsors to ensure proper completion of
project goals

Effectively communicate with crew members, WisCorps staff, project
sponsors, and members of the public

Model and practice Leave No Trace principals and sustainable living
techniques

Abide by all WisCorps and AmeriCorps policies and procedures
