Qualifications: Get hands-on experience working with the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources! Conservation Corps Minnesota & Iowa is hiring four AmeriCorps DNR Specialists (ages 18-25) positions based in Saint Paul. Specialists will work in one of the following areas: Web & Social Media (2), Planning and GIS Mapping. Corpsmembers work alongside natural resource professionals to build their skillset and complete conservation projects. 18-25 years old -- Flexible schedule to accommodate possible evening and weekend shifts (varies by project). -- Ability to perform the Essential Service Functions 40 hours per week. -- Full term of service must be completed in order to receive the education award. Duties: Web and Social Media: -- Help implement Google Analytics and other search engine optimization tools -- Assist with social media initiatives and online marketing campaigns -- Maintain and improve the DNR website Planning Specialist: -- Assist with strategic, program, system and unit plans, environmental review documents, legislative studies and research -- Support Parks and Trails Legacy Advisory Committee through research, meeting management and product preparation. GIS Mapping: -- Assist with GIS and other Information System Technologies initiatives -- Develop and present education and training materials for Corps crews
