The Udall Scholarship awards $7,000 to sophomores or juniors committed to a career related to the environment *OR* to Native American sophomores or juniors interested in tribal policy or health care. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, or U.S. permanent residents.
A successful applicant will have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and demonstrate leadership and a commitment to service. We are looking to nominate students who are taking action to address environmental concerns or concerns related to Native American tribal affairs. The University of Illinois may nominate up to 6 candidates for the award; if you are considering applying, join our information event:
**Two-Day Udall Information Event**
- Thursday, November 12, 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.—Information session & discussion with former Udall Scholar-This session will be held in IUB Room 504
- Friday, November 13, 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.—Workshop on how to craft a competitive Udall application-This session will be held in IUB Room 514
