Opportunities will be available for developing a range of skills, including training in safe use of herbicides, chainsaw use, and
other equipment such as tractors, UTVs, and sprayers among others. Interns will work with research
specialists and field staff to design and implement a research project.
You may work as a student employee during the summer semester if you are registered for at least 3
credit hours during summer, were registered for at least 6 credit hours the previous spring semester, or
are registered for at least 6 credit hours for the upcoming fall semester. In addition, if you are enrolled
for three hours or more during the Summer term, regardless of what part of term, you are considered a
half-time “student” for the entire term and restricted to work a maximum of 28 hours per week.
This is two full-time temporary positions, with somewhat flexible start and end dates, approximately
May 25-August 7, 2026, 40 hours per week at $17/hour. Successful candidate will be provided field
