We are seeking a University of Illinois undergraduate or graduate student to participate in and assist with research and development projects related to advanced carbon dioxide (CO2) capture and utilization and multi-pollutant control technologies.
Major Duties and Responsibilities: Participate and assist in lab experiments and measurements. Assemble and take down experimental setups. Assist in chemical analysis. Perform experimental data recording and plotting. Assist in preparing reports and documents. Conduct literature searches and collect informational data.
Qualifications: Must be enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student majoring in chemical, environmental, mechanical engineering, or chemistry, or related discipline. Must be willing and able to learn and accurately implement detailed procedures. Ability to assemble experimental setups and perform experiments. Some knowledge of chemical, environmental, mechanical engineering, or chemistry, or related discipline. Some knowledge of unit operations, kinetics, and thermodynamics. Ability to assemble experimental setups and perform experiments. Ability to effectively communicate and work with staff and others. Good writing skills. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
Work up to 20 hours per week when school is in session and up to 40 hours per week when school is not in session at $10 to $15 per hour (depending on qualifications).
