| Job Description: |
Ecological/Agriculture Field Assistant. Assistance in specific projects: [Solar-induced fluorescence and photosynthesis project] - Install long-term hyperspectral sensors in crop fields, conduct survey measurements with portable hyperspectral sensors and gas analyzer in crop fields. [Phenology camera network project] - Install digital cameras in crop fields across Champaign County, visit fields regularly to download images and record plant development. [Drone-based nitrogen-treatment research in cornfields] - Fly drones with spectral sensors across nitrogen fertilizer-treated crop fields, collect leaf and soil samples regularly, record plant development. **Training will be provided** |
| Requirements: |
Punctual, enthusiastic, responsive; Driver license and preferably own vehicle; Willingness to participate in multiple projects, learn and work with a team of experienced scientists in ecology, agronomy and engineering; Flexible working hours, possibly some weekend days and sometimes past 5 pm. |
