Overview:
We’re looking for an energetic Outdoor Education Intern to lead activities that immerse campers in nature and teach them essential outdoor skills. This position is available as a part-time or full-time opportunity and is fully paid.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and lead outdoor education activities, including hiking, camping, and nature exploration.
- Teach campers basic survival skills like fire-building, navigation, and plant identification.
- Promote environmental awareness and conservation through hands-on projects and discussions.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive environment during all activities.
Learning Opportunities:
- Develop skills in outdoor leadership and environmental education.
- Gain experience working with youth in a team-oriented setting.
- Receive mentorship from experienced educators and outdoor professionals.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Outdoor Education, Environmental Science, or related fields.
- Enthusiasm for working outdoors and with children.
Preferred:
- Previous experience leading outdoor activities or working at a camp.
- Knowledge of local ecosystems and outdoor safety protocols.
