Day Camp Leader, Allerton Park & Retreat Center
Location: 515 Old Timber Rd., Monticello, IL 61856
Position Description:
Day Camp Leader is responsible for supervising Day Camp participants and ensuring they have a sage and fun camp experience. Day-to-day responsibilities include setting up & leading camp activities, cleaning and organizing camp space, maintaining program records, and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Applicants with or working towards a degree in Recreation, Early Childhood Education, or related field preferred. Experience working with youth preferred. Successful applicants must be able to maintain a high level of physical activity, work in various climate conditions in an outdoor environment, and communicate effectively with staff, campers, and parents.
Requirements:
- Pass all required background checks
- CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to become certified before camp begins)
- Available to work all times that camp is in session
- Attend all required training dates
- Able to maintain a safe and secure environment for participants
- Able to maintain a high level of physical activity
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to follow verbal and written direction
