Responsibilities include:
- Participation in entire program training
- Care and supervision of up to 12 program participants
- Responsibility for the health and safety of all participants
- Deliver educational program content and oversee activities for groups of up to 12 children
- Daily preparation, set up, clean up and maintenance of program materials and facilities
- Cleaning and sanitizing of facilities and materials
- Practicing and enforcing Covid safety guidelines
- Clear and professional communication with staff, parents and program participants
- Ability to work with a wide variety of ages and abilities and to adapt to changes in weather or group needs
- Participate in occasional evening programs as needed
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be energetic, enjoy working with children, and enjoy working outdoors
- Certified in CPR/ First Aid by program start date
- Experience working with children preferred
- Familiarity with the natural history of our region and/or outdoor experience preferred
- Physical ability to lift and carry materials in various outdoor environments and to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
- Must pass a background check before hire
