My name is Cailyn Andrews, and I am an alumnus of the NRES program at the University of Illinois. I have served in AmeriCorps at Water Education Colorado in Denver, CO for the last year. It has been a gratifying experience and a great launch point into my career.
I'm reaching out to share some positions currently recruiting for Colorado Alliance for Environmental Education's eeCorps 2022-23 program year starting in August. If you didn't mind passing them along, I would appreciate that greatly! These could be great opportunities for recent grads to get experience and build a network with a cohort of other young environmental education (EE) professionals.
For a bit of background, AmeriCorps members serving with the eeCorps provide direct service to improve outcomes in environmental stewardship and education by serving with environmental education (EE) organizations throughout Colorado. Throughout their service, members serving with the eeCorps focus on increasing environmental literacy for PreK-12 students and implementing the goals of the Colorado Environmental Education Plan through field trips, in-school and outreach programs, overnight backpacking and camping trips, climbing and biking instruction, summer camps, teacher professional development, and so much more!
Most terms are full-time (1700 minimum hours, ~40 hours/week) and begin in mid-late August unless otherwise noted. If you or someone you know might be interested, please see/share the currently recruiting positions linked below for details, visit CAEE's website for more information, or reach out to americorps@caee.org with any questions!
