  • Monsanto Graduate Student Scholarship

  • Morelli Scholarship application open January 1 - February 25, 2024

    The Morelli Scholarship is for students with dyslexia, who are pursuing a STEM degree at a university/college, community college, or technical school in the Fall of 2024.

  • Morelli Scholarship for students with dyslexia (due Feb. 26)

    The Joseph James Morelli Legacy Foundation supports high school and college students with dyslexia who wish to pursue a degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) field.

    Members and non-members of NAEP may submit an application. Applicants must be enrolled in an environmental program at an accredited university or college in the United States, its territories, or Canada.

  • National Trails GIS Fellowship (52 weeks), National Park Service (Santa Fe, NM; open until filled)

    Position Overview: The ACE Fellow will be provided real world experience in the GIS field including digitization, map production, data management, and GIS platforms like ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS software. Duties will include:

    • Develop a more complete recreational/retracement trail dataset for the National Historic Trails (NHTs) and trail maps that will assist the public in getting out on the trails
    • Plan for and develop national historic trails (NHTs) through road/pedestrian signing along all nine trails that NTIR administers
    • Provide daily communication with a range of federal, state, non-profit organizations, and other trail partners to collaborate on signing and development activities
    • Assist trail partners and communities with development of draft sign plans, including use of online sign-planning tools
    • Provide technical assistance to partners seeking local or state department of transportation approval to install signs
    • Gain real world experience working with public and private entities along the NHTs
    • Gain communication skills interacting with communities, trail partners, and agency staff, as well as exposure to technical skills like ArcGIS, InDesign, and Photoshop
    • As time allows, provide support to NTIR staff and partners at public events and other office priorities

    This individual placement is meant to facilitate professional development and promotes exposure to land management agencies and networking with professionals. This could include gaining experience in different conservation fields and shadowing different work groups.

  • Precision Agriculture Scholarship Contest (due June 30, 2023)

    There are many reasons to adopt precision agriculture, such as reducing waste, reducing costs, increasing profits, and reducing farming’s footprint on the environment. 

    For today's young people who will be tomorrow's leaders, considering environmental and financial factors related to the agriculture industry are all equally important.

  • Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation Wildlife Leadership Awards 2022 (due May 2)

    Each year, the RMEF recognizes outstanding wildlife science college students through our scholarship program, the Wildlife Leadership Awards (WLA). Established to recognize, encourage and promote leadership among future wildlife management professionals, the program awards scholarships to college juniors and seniors chosen for their leadership ability, dedication to wildlife conservation and scholastic achievements. Awards include a $5,000 scholarship and one-year RMEF membership.

    WLA encourages young adults to pursue a career in conservation (wildlife management in particular), and provides a means for them to acquire the in-depth knowledge and experiences necessary to cement their commitment to the cause and become leaders in their field.

  • Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation Wildlife Leadership Awards scholarship program (due Apr. 14)

    The RMEF Wildlife Leadership Awards (WLA) scholarship program was established in 1991 to"recognize, encourage and promote leadership among future wildlife management professionals."The awards are presented to undergraduate wildlife students, and currently provide a $5,000 scholarship and a one-year membership to RMEF.

    The awards include the Torstenson Family Endowment WLA, established in memory of BobTorstenson (1950-2002) and the Gerald L. (Jerry) Turpin WLA, established in memory of Gerald L.(Jerry) Turpin (1977-2001). Recipients of both awards are selected from the same pool of applicants.

    The Student Leadership Awards & Scholarships program recognizes students & registered student organizations for academic excellence, a commitment to leadership at the University of Illinois, and a dedication to service at the local, national, and international level. There will be over $30,000 in scholarships awarded to students.

  • SWANA Land of Lincoln Chapter Scholarship

    The Land of Lincoln Chapter of the Solid Waste Association of North America annually provides a scholarship to students enrolled in civil or environmental engineering, biology, geology, environmental studies, environmental science or related studies. The enclosed notice outlines the qualifications for submitting an application for this Chapter Scholarship. This year’s scholarship is $2,500.00. Students that can demonstrate they qualify as member related can receive an additional $500.00.

    The IAAP Scholarship Committee will award up to five (5) scholarships of at least $2,000 each.  These scholarships are a one-year grant.  Students maty re-apply in subsequent years.

  • Udall Foundation Scholarships

    The Udall Scholarship awards $7,000 to sophomores or juniors committed to a career related to the environment *OR* to Native American sophomores or juniors interested in tribal policy or health care. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, or U.S. permanent residents.

    The Udall Foundation awards scholarships to college sophomores and juniors for leadership, public service, and commitment to issues related to Native American nations or to the environment.

    In 2017, the Udall Foundation anticipates awarding 60 scholarships of up to $7,000 each.

    The Udall scholarship honors the legacies of Morris Udall and Stewart Udall, whose careers had a significant impact on Native American self-governance, health care, and the stewardship of public lands and natural resources.

    The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology Directorate Office of University Programs sponsors a 10-week summer internship program for students majoring in homeland security related science, technology, engineering and mathematics (HS-STEM) disciplines. The program provides students with quality research experiences at federal research facilities located across the country and allows students the opportunity to establish connections with DHS professionals. It is open to undergraduate and graduate students in a broad spectrum of HS-STEM disciplines and DHS mission-relevant Research Areas.

    WinField  is pleased to announce Careers in Agriculture Scholarship Program. The scholarship program is available to high school graduating seniors and first or second year college students pursuing two- or four-year degrees in agronomy, crop production, or closely related fields.The program demonstrates scholastic achievement, leadership in agriculture and a perceived ability to contribute to agriculture in the future.Scholarships worth $1,000 will be awarded to 10 high school seniors and 10 college students in their first or second year.
