Champaign, Illinois—The 2017 QS World University Rankings have revealed that the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is once again among the highly-ranked institutions, both in the United States and around the world. According to the annual report, Illinois ranks 66th in the world and 7th among U.S. public institutions overall. The 2017 rankings also revealed that the University ranked in the top fifty in the world in 20 specific subject areas and in the top twenty in the world in five specific subject areas.
